The CBA Festival of Archaeology incorporates hundreds of in-person and virtual events delivered by community groups, heritage organisations, universities, commercial units, and more across the UK.
The 2024 CBA Festival of Archaeology will run from the 13-28 July and this year our theme is Archaeology and Community.

Or, if you can't wait until July why not visit our resources area where you'll find talks, craft activities, self-guided walks and much more available on-demand.

Open house
Discover the skills and crafts used by the Iron Age community who originally settled on the shores of Loch Tay over 2,000 years ago through hands-on and creative activities for all ages.
This event will take place on Saturday 13 July from 10am to 4pm.

We will have our traditional (well it has been 3 years!) suite of skills you can master in your own home or as a group, as well as a creative event where you can get involved either in person or online.

#AskAnArchaeologist Day on X (formerly Twitter) is an official part of the CBA Festival of Archaeology and is a chance for people from all over the world to ask archaeologists questions and an opportunity for archaeologists to share their knowledge.

Blog posts are uploaded throughout A Day In Archaeology and stay on the Festival website site all year round to form a developing resource for anyone interested in a career in archaeology or wanting to find out more about the range of opportunities to participate.

This event takes place on Sunday 28 July from 10am to 4pm.
Access to the Festival activities will be free of charge but standard National Trust fees will apply for entry to the house.
