The tracks can tell

Traces of the past are around us. In the open landscape, in the clearing in the forest and in the middle of the big city. Ancient remains and other cultural relics tell about the people who lived before us and about how today's society has developed. It can be a shipwreck on the seabed or a milestone along the country road, Uppsala mounds or a settlement from the Stone Age. Through the findings and different methods, archaeologists can interpret and help us understand more about ourselves, our behaviors and how societies are shaped and developed.

For visitors

The events are open to everyone and it usually costs nothing, except in cases where ordinary entrance fees are charged. The activities are carried out by committed archaeologists, by museums, ancient villages, organizations and other cultural-historical actors around Sweden.
