Iru hill fort was an important fortified settlement during the Bronze Age, dating back to the 3rd millennium BC. Nowadays Iru is adjacent to high-rise dwelling houses, and it is hard to imagine that as late as 40 years ago simple farmhouses with stone fences stood in the area. The guided tour will explain the origin of place names in the area, take visitors to ancient cult stones and discuss which tactics were used against oncoming enemy, In addition to the mighty hill fort also nearby early settlement sites will be visited. The tour will begin and end in Lasnaäe.
