The Tarxien Temples, forming part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a complex of Neolithic buildings and a 5,500 year old architectural marvel. The site plays an important role in local archaeology due to the insights that were gained into local prehistory during its excavation. This year marks the 100th anniversary from the end of the original excavations conducted by Sir Temi Zammit.
